Rajasthan Congress leader Govind Singh Dotasra said on Saturday that BJP leaders linking the party’s protest against inflation to the founding day of the Ayodhya temple is not only nonsense but also an attempt to ‘mislead people because they don’t have answers to burning issues.
He said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should have spoken out on the issues raised by the Congress instead of trying to divert the attention of the audience.
“How can the protest against inflation and unemployment be linked to Ram Janambhoomi’s founding day and called an insult to Ram Bhakts,” he asked.
”The protest was over critical issues of high inflation, unemployment and GST, which have severely affected the common man. Since they don’t have answers to these questions, they brought a ridiculous narrative just to mislead people,” Dotasra said.
He alleged that the Narendra Modi government of the Center does not care about people. Therefore, they are “just trying to distract the public by making such ridiculous claims,” he said.
“What Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath said about the massive Congress protest yesterday is absolutely ridiculous and people understand that. Since they don’t have answers to the burning questions, they hide behind such nonsensical arguments,” Dotasra said.
