MoS Jitendra Singh highlights the link between startups and the MSME sector
New Delhi, August 27 (KNN) It is important to connect startups with the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said on Friday.
He said the central government is taking all necessary steps to include policy changes to boost MSMEs.
MoS for Science was addressing the 8th Indian International Summit of MSMEs and Startups.
Highlighting the importance of the Startup India initiative, he said huge opportunities have been opened up for young people through this scheme.
“In recent years, a wave of agritech startups has emerged in India,” the minister said.
He credits startups with solving problems related to supply chain management, inadequate infrastructure and farmers’ inability to access a wider range of markets.
The three-day expo kicked off at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Thursday and will provide a one-stop unified platform for startups and MSMEs to interact with industry leaders and exhibit their products. (KNN Office)
