Priority given to restoration of main roads linking apple-growing areas, says Jai Ram Thakur

The Chief Minister also said that the main roads leading to apple growing areas and hospitals will be restored as a priority.

In tweets, he said officials had been urged to take action for immediate relief and rescue work and that the state government would urge the Center to send an additional team for relief and rehabilitation work. .

At least 21 people have been killed in Himachal Pradesh due to rain-triggered landslides and other weather-related incidents in the past 24 hours, a senior official said on Saturday. According to the State Disaster Management Authority, 12 people were injured and six people are missing. Flash flooding and other incidents were reported from 30 different locations in the state. It was also reported that at least 15 houses were also damaged. Due to bad weather, several transformers were damaged.
