Two-Point Campus pushes the absurd formula of Two Points Hospital even further, letting you run a variety of different wacky universities, like a wizarding school or a clown academy. Of course, if you want your campus to run efficiently, you’ll need a steady income to pay staff, upgrade equipment, and more. But how to make money fast in this superlative academy simulation?
In the Two-Point Campus guide below, you’ll find some of the best ways to make money fast, whether you’re playing campaign colleges or creating your own in sandbox mode.
Make your students happy and earn extra XP
Your main source of income in Two-Point Campus just tuition paid by your students each school year. Each month of course is in session, you will get a fixed tuition income, but this number can easily be increased by make improvements to your campus. The key is that your students should learn effectively and do well in the classroom; the higher they level up, the higher your XP bonus at the end of each month will be.
The best way to do this is to ensure that students have multiple ways to study, including well-stocked libraries and efficient private classrooms. Make sure your library has many libraries, study areas, and course-specific gear (which you’ll unlock as you play). Also, budget for a teacher whose sole purpose is to give private lessons; any teacher can be a tutor, but they will also leave to teach and lecture students, leaving private classrooms vacant. Finally, increase the prestige of the room by placing attractive objects in it, such as plants or posters.
You can also upgrade your teachers using training roomswhich will make their lessons more efficient, which in turn will lead to more XP for your students.
Install vending machines and food stalls
You won’t get a ton of revenue from vending machines and kiosks, but installing a variety of food options on campus will earn you a steady trickle of cash. The vending machines are very cheap to set up and you will earn $10 each time a student or staff member visits them. The investment will be amortized very quickly if you ensure each building has at least two vending machines.
Once you’re a little more stable financially, you can invest in food stalls, but keep in mind that you’ll need to hire another assistant to run them, which will increase your salary expenses. Still, these kiosks still make more money than vending machines, so they’ll end up paying big bucks if you’re strategic and patient.
Raise tuition fees and take out loans
At the end of each school year, you will be able to take stock of your performance and put points in your courses for the coming year. When choosing which courses to teach or upgrade, you can select the gear icon at the top right of the course card to open a customization menu. This allows you change course tuition for each student and the number of students you will take for the following year.
If you find you need a little more money, you can increase this tuition, but it will decrease your student’s happiness. A smiley face next to the tuition gauge shows how much increasing or decreasing rates will affect happiness (it’s a similar mechanic to increasing or decreasing staff salaries) . But if you have a robust campus with plenty of options for fun and happiness, you should be OK year after year.
The quickest option to get an influx of cash is to take out a loan, which instantly grants you $50,000, $100,000, or $250,000. However, keep in mind that with a loan, you will have monthly repayment charges, which means your overall income will take a big hit depending on the interest.
To take out a loan, simply scroll down to the toolbar at the bottom left of the screen, then click on the icon that looks like a small building and select loan.
Organize archeology courses
Archeology is an incredibly unique program in Two-Point Campus; this is the only course that can make money. These courses require a dig site and students will discover valuable artifacts during their studies. Once these objects are completely unearthed, you can either sell them or place them around your campus to increase their attractiveness.
The larger your dig site, the more likely you are to uncover valuable items, and some of them can be sold for up to $40,000 apiece. You can sell these items individually once they are unearthed; at the end of the year, all items remaining in your dig site will be sold automatically.
Also, when not in class, archeology students use ground metal detectors, sometimes uncovering items that earn you a tiny bit of money. Investing in a dig site and all the requirements can be expensive, but it absolutely pays off in the long run.
Join the Orbe Club
You won’t unlock the Orb Club until you complete the Upper Etching level in the Two Point campus campaign. Orb Club works like all other clubs in the game, but the advantage is that you will receive money each time a student joins and each time a student uses the items in the club. The only downside is that the Orb Club has a negative effect on student happiness, so you’ll need to have proper facilities to counter their dower behavior.
Still, it’s only $2,000 to drop an Orb Club stand, and you don’t need to maintain it at all. — just let the passive income flow.
